Hello! I'm Denise Trifonoff, a self-taught artist based in the vibrant city of San Diego. My journey into the world of art has been fueled by a deep admiration for masters like John Singer Sargent, Malcolm Liepke, Caravaggio, Bourgeroux, and Jacques-Louis David. Their influence can be seen in my work, which spans photo-realistic portraits, landscapes, and the occasional family portrait. I specialize in creating intricate oil paintings on linen canvas, employing a technique that involves painting in layers and finishing with a delicate glaze. This method allows me to capture the finest details and bring a lifelike quality to my subjects, whether they are people, animals, or fantastical beings. One of my greatest joys is painting strong, beautiful women, with a particular fondness for redheads and ethereal figures adorned with wings. My work often delves into the realms of fan art, fantasy art, and realistic portrayals of famous personalities. Growing up, I spent countless hours at Balboa Park, enchanted by the artists who painted in the open air, capturing the park's serene landscapes and bustling scenes. This early exposure ignited my passion for art, and I immersed myself in learning from Bob Ross and a myriad of YouTube tutorials. After years of dedication and practice, I finally felt confident to share my creations with the world, embarking on a fulfilling adventure of meeting new people and taking on commissions tailored to my patrons' desires. You can view some of my work on Instagram. For inquiries or commission requests, please reach out to me at . I look forward to creating something beautiful together.
