When I was in Brazil, I visited the Amazon Jungle and I was blown by its colors and smells. The light was extraordinary and I wanted to capture the density and the certain colored darkness that invades a jungle even in broad daylight. As I walked between the giant trees, I felt so much life in there...

About the Artist

Tim Hale

France

I am an artist based in France. I graduated from London's St. Martin's School of Art & Design, and then travelled and worked abroad, visiting galleries and artists' workshops. My work explores the world of fluidity and uncertainty of the elements that surround us; landscapes, rivers and fires, faces in the crowd or close-up portraits. I like using quick-drying acrylic paints, chalk pastels, indian ink and charcoal. I modulate paint in abstract landscapes sometimes using different tones of a same color.
Lately, I have been visiting the world of cinema and television and incorporating scenes from classic films into paintings.
I am also a contributor to the International Art Market Magazine and the Art & Museum magazine.

I have paintings and drawings in private collections in the USA, the UK, Canada and France.
