Wayan Purnata was born in Penestanan village in Ubud, on December 15th 1978, he comes from a family of farmers. His parents worked in the field to put his brother and him through school. There are many artists in his community and perhaps it was this environment that encouraged his special talent. He began painting as a hobby when he was twelve years of age. Since that time he has been studying and experimenting with different styles and techniques. Initially, he learned the Young Artist Naïve style. He began learning the Traditional style when studying at SMSR Art High School of Ubud. Purnata began exploring Modern Abstract painting when he studied at the STSI Art Academy in Denpasar from 1997 until 2003. Purnata seems to have found his expression with the abstract style. He is inspired by his dreams, nature, imagination and every day life situations. His imaginative world is complex and mysterious. He paints with rich texture and has already developed a superb use of light and movement in his work. He likes to express his thoughts without limiting his media. He sometimes introduces natural materials in a collage effect and has already developed a great sense of creative freedom. Purnata has also shown incredible skill with his use of watercolors. He's so mystic person, so truth and richest person in the world. He has paradise in his soul. We can see and feel in his art. its give so many emotions. He has a fantastic art and his art talking about the feelings and all of the emotions. But not only the colors and shapes of his art also his patience and the truth in his eyes. It is almost impossible in the world to find so truth personality. It's really under the great impression of him. Some time we can't understand with his emotion in his art, its so passion and crazy, have to look them slowly and we can feel a lot emotions. His work like a stream of every strong, the greatest emotions. They are mystic completely mystic.
