The Kaiser Manhattan was built from 1945 to 1953 by Kaiser. In 1958 Kaiser set up a new factory in the province of Cordoba, Argentina. I grew up in the late 60's in Buenos Aires, and at the time we only saw European cars, such as Peugeot and Citroen. The Manhattan got renamed as "Kaiser Carabela" and it became an instant success. First time I saw one it was better than encountering a UFO! Could not help looking at one on the web and painting to relive my memories.
