Tushar uses Pencil, sketching, Charcoal, water, pastels, Acrylic, Oil painting, to express himself. He has been deeply inspired by Indian traditional folk art. He is constantly seeking out the vibrant and unexplainable colours in nature and numerous shades and textures of moods and expressions of people. Born in a traditional family where religion exemplifies love and respect for all humans, animals, and environmental energies, Tushar's favourite themes are mythological. Brought up with vivid stories about Gods and Goddesses, he has been painting on different themes over the years in his own style, giving in to his need for expression. Currently he is working on Lord Krishna's mythical and magical life from childhood till his death. The story of painting Sandipani told Shyam and Balarama the story of how Vishnu defeated the two asura brothers— Hiranayaksha and Hiranakashipu. Hiranayaksha had dragged the earth under the sea and so Vishnu took the form of a boar, dived into the waters and gored the asura to death. Thereafter he placed the earth goddess on his snout and raised her above the waters.
