A visit to Gallipoli Changed my art life by making me investigate and explore this war history. A 6 day visit to the Peninsula was fascinating and I later won the Gallipoli Art Prize. The poppy of course is used for remembrance.

I began to paint items for markets and grew a small business of souvenir products. A visit to Gallipoli had a profound effect and I subsequently won the inaugural Gallipoli Art Prize. I have been a finalist most years since and also many other major art prizes. I developed abilities in all mediums and subjects which led to becoming self employed.
