ABOUT THE ARTWORK
La Flotta, Italian for "the fleet". This is inspired by villages of Italy where the sea meets the shore full of colorful boats and brightly painted homes. There is positive and negative space, shapes and movement. It is full of color and texture - also an homage to the wonderful textures on those seaside homes. This canvas is painted with Golden Heavy Body acrylic paint, and glazed to give it a rich satin finish. This painting is on gallery wrapped canvas with neutral grey painted sides, wired and ready to hang.

I am an artist from Nashville, Tennessee. I have been working in the music business, touring the world with musicians for the last 30 years. The extensive travel experience has provided endless inspiration for my art from all corners of the globe. While painting is my favorite form of expression, I also am an avid photographer and still dabble often in graphic design. I am a founding member of a small group of abstract painters called Contemporary Collective of Nashville. I have also been a member of the Nashville Artist Guild for several years. My work is featured in a few regional galleries, and has made its way into homes and corporate collections around the USA, Europe and Australia. Nearly every painting I do is on 1.5" deep gallery-wrapped canvas. The edges are always painted with a neutral color to compliment the painting, so they can be hung with or without a frame.
