This painting was inspired by a novel of Charles Bukowski about a man and a woman that talking about Joan of Arc, depravity, philosophy and lasciviousness in a bar tended by a skeleton. It was commissioned by a well-known italian stage actor (Giovanni Arezzo) as a cover of an episode of his podcast “Musica Per Organi Caldi”:
