Frank Hobbs is an American artist residing near Columbus, Ohio. He teaches painting and drawing at Ohio Wesleyan University. Hobbs is a recipient of awards and fellowships from the National Endowment of Art, the Ohio Arts Council, the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and the Vermont Studio Center. His work is in numerous private and public collections in the US, the UK, Germany, and Italy. His paintings have been exhibited in the US embassies of Thailand, Turkey, and Bermuda through the Art in Embassies Program of the US Dept. of State. All works are copyrighted and all rights are reserved by the artist. Painted "all-aperto" ("in the open," i.e. outdoors) on the western shore of Lake Como in the summer of 2018.

Recipient of many awards, including grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, Ohio Arts Council Award for Individual Excellence in the Arts, a Virginia Museum Professional Fellowship, as well as residency fellowships from the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and the Vermont Studio Center, he lives and works in Delaware, Ohio where he teaches painting and drawing at Ohio Wesleyan University. Hobbs' work is represented in numerous private and public collections internationally.
