ABOUT THE ARTWORK

A painting I made based on memories of our visit to Rome. After meeting my girlfriend(now wife) Arja in Athens, we started traveling a lot. Rome was at the top of our list of places to visit. This was my first trip to Rome and to Italy in general. The magnificence of this eternal city surprised me. Seeing marvelous, giant statues, historic and detailed architecture, incredible food and culture. We visited the Galleria Borghese which is full of inspiring works by famous artists like Caravaggio. After, we walked around the park and reached the Temple of Aesculapius that is situated in the middle of the small island on the lake. It is a beautiful place where you can rent a rowboat and enjoy a calm atmosphere in the middle of Rome.
