The symbolism of hearth and home evokes what sustains, protects, and nourishes. A woman in a tiara and ball gown sits amid a room fully engulfed in flames, her expression oddly calm. Is she unaware or indifferent? Can she do anything to stop the blaze? Dissonance is central to the work, and the foc...

I am a multidisciplinary visual artist, working in acrylics, 3D digital, and textiles. Primarily self-taught as a painter, I have spent most of my life working with paint and image-making. My work has been described as magical realism, and often weaves quiet, strange, or impossible details into ordinary scenes in dreamy, slightly uncanny ways. At the heart of my practice is an affinity with liminality, which I have explored over time through abstraction and, more recently, through a representational focus on ordinary moments and the spaces where reality and perception begin to diverge. My current work in progress explores dimensional tactility and acrylics, bringing together fabric textiles, sewing, and decorative pattern design.
I hold a BFA in Graphic Design from Pacific Northwest College of Art and have maintained a dedicated studio practice alongside a 20 + year career as a 3d material and texture artist for film; first in the Marin County San Francisco Bay Area and now in the Pacific Northwest.
My painting New Coat was featured in Studio Visit Magazine, Volume 52. I am also one of the contributing artists to The Science Tarot (2010), with fourteen original paintings for the Suit of Wands. In recent years, I've participated in Washington County Open Studios (2023 and 2024), continue to engage with the local arts community.
My work has been exhibited in galleries and art events throughout the Pacific Northwest, as well as in the San Francisco Bay and Santa Monica areas, and is held in private collections internationally.
