Rather rough pressed paper, wet on wet and let the colours flow - ahaa, not as they like but as I want! Add, mix and fill the surface. Watercolours have the special quality that one can't exactly control them when wet so it's a kind of dance... Then I let it dry and when dry I use colour pencils to create grids, lines and other forms to get the surface evenly interesting. Finally I add some drops or splashes of colour. The whole process is actually quite intuitive and sometimes I leave the painting to 'rest' for a longer period before finalising it: one should not be in a hurry but rather enjoy the journey... The painting is just the paper so you need to frame it with glass. I always use the best quality materials...
