André Buist is a signature member of the Société canadienne de l'aquarelle. Self-taught, he began drawing comic strips at an early age. Graduating with a bachelor's degree in physical education, the world of sports became very familiar to him. His artistic curiosity never ceased and brought him on the part of woodcarving, editorial cartooning and finally watercoloring with is unique for it's fluidity, light effects and transparency. Movement, style, color and touches of whimsical characterize his body of work inclding hockey scenes, horses, famous people and landscapes. Over the last 15 years, André has participated in more than one hundred solo or group exhibits.
