The Covid-19 pandemic affected all of our lives. During the quarantine I spent a lot of time in my studio trying to make work about the pandemic. I painted about accumulation, repetition, confusion, clusters and barriers. I painted my emotions as meditation and reflection.- trying to stay out of the way and let it flow.

Maryann Didriksen (b.1965, Queens, N.Y) is an American painter whose paintings probe the concept of beauty, visibility, strength and age. Before returning to painting full-time in 2001 Maryann worked as an Art Director and graphic designer. She holds a BFA from Alfred University and is a signature member of the Pastel Society of New Jersey. She lives and works in Rockaway Township, New Jersey.
