ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Inspired by the first images to be seen by humans from the James Webb space telescope over 1 million miles from Earth, these abstract paintings present images that are at once bright and colourful while also turbulent and explosive. Here I'm depicting a last survival dash from Earth amid climate chaos. Leaving the Planet -- Too Late! was featured in the Gallerium online exhibit in May, 2023 and placed second in the Extinction 2023 catalogue.

Lives and works in Thornhill, Ontario, Canada – just a bit north of Toronto. After many years of writing fiction and sculpting, I decided to follow in my mother’s footsteps and paint. She made beautiful oil on canvas landscapes. I was inspired by the early images from the James Webb telescope. They absolutely blew me away. The universe is so expansive and turbulent it boggles comprehension! These are images that no human has ever seen. With my paintings, photographs and sculptures, I wish to present images that are arresting, turbulent and expansive; with colours that inspire visions of creativity and light.
