Inspired by the human need to create something to believe in. I am drawn to ritual, repetition, and objects we have come to accept as tools to cope with life. I have an obsession with skulls, being evidence of a physical presence and the narrative they hold. Themes of Eastern and Yogic philosophy are often repeated in my work, as are stories and memories I hold dear. My current practice is mostly figurative or portrait painting. I also enjoy printing and sculpture where my themes are mostly conceptual, trying to find reason and meaning in materials.
