I did not have any artistic training when I started painting in 2012. I followed a three-year cycle in painting at the Fine Art Workshops of Paris (Ateliers Beaux-Arts de la mairie de Paris) and obtained a Bachelor Degree of plastic art at the Sorbonne. I am mainly interested in the banal and innocuous universes of suburban or provincial houses and roadsides. The landscapes I paint are intended to be an ambivalent dialogue between reassuring homes and hostile forests or squalid peri-urban areas and protective nature. My landscapes are parasitized by glitches, distorting the subject, diffracting the image. They are a counterpoint to the figuration and allow the tension of painted banal landscapes and the pure material that enables their representation. They are in the image of the events breaking the daily life, disturbing the flat surface of habits, parasiting the anesthetic certainties.
