I live in Berkshire (UK) with my long-suffering husband and a passel of cats - some gorgeous Tonkinese, a handsome Maine Coon and a striking tabby moggy. I'm very much involved in the UK Cat Fancy (if you'd like to know more do visit my other web site ) I am a self-taught artist. I love the nostalgic watercolour paintings of Helen Allingham, Leyton Forbes and other early 20th Century artists but when I tried emulating their art I failed miserably. Then I saw a more relaxed style of painting, which encouraged me to look for my own style - I'm still looking but I think I'm progressing. I love learning how to use light and colour in different ways – whether in photographs or paint. I joined Saatchi Art because people have been kind enough to say they like my pictures and asked where they could find them. I look forward to my retirement at the end of this year - more time for painting.Thank you for visiting and I hope you like what you see - or at least some of it. Cheers, Linda. 2020
