ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Be the Light! Be all about Love. “Light Warrior” is my painting of an extraterrestrial being, in holy, divine armor, sending many blessings your way, and watching over you from the heavens above. I hope this painting brings the viewer a sense of protection and helps bring more Light into their life. This painting was created in acrylic paint on birch wood because I love how the bright the colors of acrylic paint can be. My style can be described as very flat, animated, and cartoon-esque, and I love the way that acrylic paint is able to help me accomplish this look. My style is largely influenced by vector illustration and modern western animation. I prefer to make my paintings as flat and without brush strokes as possible because I really appreciate the animation aesthetic. “Light Warrior” is 11”x14” with a depth of ¾”. The edges of the painting have been painted metallic gold, which is a reference for my love of Oracle decks, and the painting has been varnished for its protection. No hardware for hanging is included. This artwork would be suitable on an entryway wall, above the sofa in the living room, or on the wall of a quiet and meditative space.

Hello there! My name is Klaryssa, and I am a painter, illustrator, and musician living in southern California, USA. I have been creating art ever since I could pick up a pencil, and started creating music when I was 7 years old. After living over a decade in Los Angeles, I moved to Tehachapi, CA, where I work as an illustrator and composer. I studied fine art, illustration, and animation at California State University, Fullerton. I have created artwork for global fashion brands, independent fashion brands, feature films, social media influencers, and independent business owners. I am currently working with and am a co-founder of an art and music collective, based in both Tehachapi, and Los Angeles. My artistic style is deeply influenced by animation, comics, and pop art. I love using bright neon colors combined with pastels in my work. The themes of my work center around femininity, spirituality, extraterrestrials, and the pastel goth style. I am also greatly influenced by low brow pop surrealism, graphic novels, modern western animation, and illustration.
