My current series of works 'ART LINES' explores space, illusion and drawing to create quiet and minimal abstract line-scapes. This work in particular was one of the first of paintings after a the series digital works were done as NFTs. The digital works allowed me to create sketches quickly and helped me formulate the look and feel for this series of line works distinclty. Traditionally, it has always been hard to paint in lines with brush, oil and on canvas so visualising works in paint has been a challenge. For me these lines are abstract yet figurative and tell the story of cultures intersecting, creating a voice and battling out territories over time. Colours represent agendas and personas, their journeys, their challenges, their engagements and their conflicts. The works are drawn by hand in a free flowing expression.
