Contact us.Born amidst the sweeping, high-altitude landscapes of Kenya’s Great Rift Valley, my heritage is deeply rooted in the Kalenjin community. It is a culture globally revered for producing the world’s greatest marathon runners, including the legendary Eliud Kipchoge. While my kin mastered the art of physical endurance, I found my own pacing through a different medium. Growing up, resilience was not a concept learned from books; it was forged on the daily trek to school, running barefoot up steep, rugged hills. This demanding environment did not just build physical stamina—it cultivated a profound patience and an intensely observant eye.Where others saw only the grueling path, I noticed the shifting play of morning light across the escarpments, the rich textures of the red volcanic earth, and the vibrant, fluid motion of life in the Rift Valley. This deep, quiet observation became the catalyst for my creative journey. Today, as a contemporary Kenyan acrylic artist, I channel that childhood resilience and keen awareness directly onto the canvas.Using bold textures and a vibrant palette, my acrylic paintings explore themes of human endurance, cultural memory, and the breathtaking landscapes of East Africa. Just as a marathoner builds a race stride by stride, I build my complex visual narratives layer by layer. My work bridges the gap between raw, physical human experience and the silent, poetic beauty of the world around us—inviting viewers to slow down, observe, and find the extraordinary within the ordinary.
