Artush Voskanyan was born on 14/10/1966 in the city of Vede. Ararat region. In the process of my creative searches, I realized that the four directions (surrealism, symbolism, realism and animalism) are closest to me and this is reflected in my work. From 1996-2001, I worked on the series ‘Gray Period). It was a transition period after the war. Life in Armenia seemed to me ‘gray’ and the pictures turned out ‘gray’s. I will not hide the fact that ideas came to me in my dreams. Since 2000, during my travels in Armenia and in addition to sketches of mountain landscapes, a new series of works entitled ‘Ancestral Land’ In my opinion, mountains and rock masses hide huge energy and information. Throwing a mystical look at them, one can “see” how many generations passed before them and what events “they” saw and captured in themselves. I, as the “Archaeologist,” try to uncover these secrets. In Salvador Dali, the symbol of death is the ant, and the sex symbol of the locust. On the way to creating female images, sometimes you have to go from the microcosm to large animals (instincts, character traits, behavior during the mating season, motherhood, and much more) And only after all this you proceed to create symbolic images. P. S. I like and interest all the images of women. Having started this series, I came to the conclusion that it leads to infinity. That's why the series is called Eve the Mysterious ...
