I’m a painter and printmaker originally from San Francisco, California, now living in Brooklyn, New York. In my most recent series, Love Notes to New York, a collection of oil paintings and small gouache works, the focus has been paring down the urban landscape, distilling the city’s energy into clean shapes and bold colors. "My great-grandparents were painters and as a child I always treasured their works. Even though I never met them, their paintings told me so much about who they were. I knew from an early age that I had the opportunity, and therefore responsibility, to speak to future generations; to tell them who I was and how I reflected on the world around me.”
