Hello my name is Rada I’m a watercolour artist based in Moldova. I have loved painting for as long as I remember, but becoming an artist took for a while.. For many years I was focused on creating things like home and Christmas decorations, clothing design. Watercolour is one of my favourite mediums because it offers great potential for expression. Working with fluid colours requires working fast, being confident with brush strokes, being focused on the emotions that you want to convey because there’s no time to think about anything else like choosing colours or technique while a paper sheet is wet. that’s why I always plan my work in advance in steps. I keep in mind that there is just one chance to add colour on a paper sheet because if it’s done there is no way to change it. It sounds quite challenging and risky but one day you take an unpredictable watercolour flow under control to show what you meant to.. you feel completely taken over by this mesmerising creative process. In my paintings I try to capture a moment, emotion, mood of what I see or experience. I choose accents, add details or alternate soft and sharp lines, colours very thoughtful that help the viewer to focus on the main idea and to dive into a certain mood. That’s my way to share my impressions of this world without words.
