April faces this same wonderful dilemma...inspired by the vast beauty that surrounds her and her enthusiasm for life. April and her husband Frank love to travel and she finds much of her inspiration from their journeys throughout Europe as well as the coastlines of the South. However, she loves the fact you don't have to travel to an exotic location to experience the beauty of a sunset and she is known for chasing them!



While clearly inspired by the Impressionists that came before her, April has developed a unique and ever-evolving style of her own. She constantly seeks to capture the dramatic and ever-changing role that light plays on both land and sea. Whether the sparkle and dance of sunlight on the water's surface or the kaleidoscope of colors that come from a setting sun, April translates these moments in time to canvas with her beautiful color nuances and energetic textured brushwork. "I want to give people something to connect to, a memory of a favorite place, a shared moment with a loved one, or just to bring them joy."



April is a South Carolina native and self taught artist whose work hangs in corporate and private collections across the country. She started painting late in life and is the perfect example that it is never too late to follow your dreams!!
