ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Original abstract modern painting depicting a spiral made of pink bunnies on a dark gray background. This is a collaboration artwork with Yurii Palcov, a Moldovan artist from InSpirArt artist community, who created the bunny. In many cultures, the bunny is associated with longevity, fertility, creativity and good luck. Our pink bunnies spiral represents an endless source of joy, abundance, spontaneity and wittiness. These beautiful creatures remind us as well of our vulnerability and push us to find the strength within ourselves. Materials: acrylic paint on gallery wrapped canvas, molding paste. Painted with brushes. A final varnish coat preserves the colors for extended time and protects the painting from dust and UV rays. Created with highest quality materials in a smoke-free environment. The painting is signed, dated, and titled on the back. A perfect artwork for a modern interior design.

Cristina Balan is an abstract artist. Born in Moldova, she studied arts from the age of five. Very early on, her works were exhibited at various artistic performances in Moldova and abroad. The fall of the Soviet Union paused Cristina’s creative ascension, as after graduating the School of Fine Arts she had to work in the corporate world to be able to support herself. In her thirties, she became a prominent business community leader, and in early forties was appointed as the Ambassador to the United States. In 2019, after an almost 20-year hiatus from painting, Cristina returned full-time to art, her abstract paintings being quickly noticed and appreciated by the public. Contemporary art magazines featured her works. Her paintings have been displayed in art shows in Washington D.C., New York City, and Kiev. Cristina’s works are currently featured by art galleries from NYC, Tokyo, Barcelona and Treviso.
