ABOUT THE ARTWORK
It is the transcendent properties of nature that interest me most - its ability to make us lose ourselves and enter a higher plane, to feel awe. Increasingly, I want to abstract aspects of what makes us feel that way, trying to achieve the same emotional effect without the usual real world context. I’m also keen on sustainability. This highly textured work is painted using vintage Winsor & Newton oil paints on a vintage re-used canvas board, and presented in a vintage wood frame with silver patina which complements the work. Comes complete with steel fittings and cord, ready to hang.
