ABOUT THE ARTWORK

- The art is impressionist and organic in nature depicting trees, rocks, mountains, oceans and rivers all in a state of movement or change by the elements, seasons or time. Influenced by artists JMW Turner and Chang Dai-chien. Marcia's varied techniques uses applications of of black ink and tinted ink glazing over gold, silver or copper leaf. Sometimes she paints over acrylic or resin pours adding up to 4 layers to create a 3 dimensional depth to her art. Sumi-e is also a favorite technique she explores in many of her paintings.
