This is my maiden attempt to bring forth a visual treat for the lover of ancient art, culture and life style of the people of the caves.Their artistic sense and skills. The usefulness of the artistic resources prevalent at that time. Famous for housing a number of prehistoric paintings, they leave you mesmerised with the design and life style of the people living in them in that period. Besides humans they also depict the variety of animals thereby helping in understanding of life of the man then. The paintings on the rocks still look fresh after so many years I chose to paint Oil on Canvas for its lasting value. The work is inspired by the expanse of the site, the culture and the ever lasting art of the olden era. A site inviting the lover of humanity and art.Bhimbhetka rock shelters is a Unesco World Heritage Site. Located in Madhya Pradesh State of India. The archaeologists estimate them to be 10k thousand years old (Google).
