ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Inspired by Tucson's clouds at dusk that turn into powerful monsoon storms. Acrylic blues, blacks and metallic silver are layered with watercolors to create depth and drips as if the piece were having its own downpour. Acrylic and watercolor on wrapped canvas .75" thick.

I am a second generation Mexican-American, married to a first generation Mexican. I grew up often going to Mexico and the Midwest while living in Tucson, Arizona. I am influenced by the colorful personalities of my big family and my artistic mother from where I learned to love art, fashion, decor, and cooking. I feel fortunate to have grown up with the perspectives of different cultures and languages in the beautiful southwest where I still live.
