ABOUT THE ART: This illustration was inspired from mythology & manga/comics, a visual blend of classic & contemporary. In mythology, the Harpy, a woman/bird hybrid, is a figurative expression of storm winds. She was described as a fair-locked & winged maiden, who surpassed winds & birds in flight: a femme fatale. In manga/comics, the character Silene/Sirene, is most stunning & unforgettable. She was originally created by mangaka Go Nagai in his long-running Devilman series, which began publishing in 1972. ARTIST'S NOTES: I used natural charcoal-derived ink & quality watercolors on standard industry paper. The illustration has a coat of fixative so lines & colors will remain sharp & vibrant over the years. ********** MEDIUM: Brush, Ink, Watercolor PAPER: Art Board in 180 gsm PAPER SIZE: 9 in x 12 in ART SIZE: 8.25 in x 11.25 in

I'm a professional artist/illustrator. I prefer drawing with inks & watercolors; My illustrations feature fantasy & pop culture subjects rendered in film noir techniques & traditional mediums. They're are a merger of contemporary & classic. My career jumpstarted in 2014 after having been selected as 1 of 4 artists in Top Cow Productions' global Talent Hunt. I went on to illustrate for various comic books/strips & have since ventured into the gaming sphere. I continue to work actively as an illustrator for various projects.
