Hi! I'm Mauro Borgotti, an impressionist painter living in a little town in northern Italy. I was born in 1964 in Verbania. I have lived all my life in and around this landscape, that embraces both lake Maggiore and mountains, and use it as an inexhaustible and inspiring material for my painting. I enjoy painting the magical scenery and light that makes this such a beautiful area. Moreover I feel a close connection with nature. Landscapes take me to where my memories and emotions wish to be. Often I start painting outside in the plein air style, although I then finish work in my studio. While I don't have a degree in fine arts, I have spent my life learning. I have taken several workshops with master painters. For me, painting is a continuous growth process . Thanks for your interest!
