Kelsey is a Canadian born artist based on the Sunshine Coast of Australia. She is a self-taught oil painter who has been creating art all her life alongside a career as a professional seafarer. While her soul feels most at home on the ocean, art is the only place where she finds that her mind is truly set free. In creating her artworks, Kelsey finds the pathway to escape the pressures of reality and explore a new, surrealistic universe inspired by the cosmos, dreams, subconscious energy and, of course, marine life. Kelsey seeks to invite others to open their minds to the power of dreams and travel with her through the stars in a world that may bend their perceptions of reality and possibly set them free. She loves the juxtaposition of aspects of our humble existence on Earth with the colossal vastness of the cosmos and has multiple series of works with this as a common link. Kelsey is always looking to grow as an artist and to push the boundaries of her skills and creativity while finding her own unique niche in which to exist.
