Magno's shadow Print

I was inspired by a story of Alexander the Great and his horse. In this paint there is an horse named Bucephalus. Bucephalus was the horse of Alexander, and one of the most famous horses of antiquity. Plutarch says in 344 BC at twelve or thirteen years of age Alexander of Macedonia won the horse by making a wager with is father. He successfully tamed tje horse, that it was afraid of is own shadow, turned the horse award the syn and spoke soothingl to it. Plutarco says that the incident so impressed king Philip II that told the boy " O my son, look thee out a kingdom equal to and worthy of thyself for Macedonia is too little for thee". -History of Alexander the Great- 1.
