ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Malacology is a painting of alcohol inks on yupo, accented with micron pen. The final image is reminiscent of a snail. The colors of the piece imply an expansive universe of stars and space. The painting is one in a series of work I'm creating as a daily practice. The pieces function as catharsis and a way of showing up for myself each morning. Where I would usually collect the finished set and exhibit them, instead I wish to sell them to people who are truly moved by the work. I want the work to be as accessible as possible to viewers and not piled in a portfolio gathering dust between shows.
