This 2016 work is part of the Neo-Noir Paintings, inspired by the themes of neo-noir films such as identity search, desorientation, ambiguity, alienation, or solitude. An exploration of existentialism as a contemporary way to see the world. In this way, I have taken as a reference notorious neo-noir films images over all, but also photographs I did or I found on social networks like Twitter. For this painting I based on a scene from "Manhunter" by Michael Mann, in which I deleted the presence of the policeman's wife in order to leave the man alone with his thoughts in darkness. This painting has in the surface of the canvas has a relief of dripped paint due to a layer of paint which are below coming from a previous work. This relief is visible depending on light, as you can see in the images. This work in acrylic is signed and dated on the front and is shipped stretched and unframed in an extra strong cardboard box. This painting is not necessary to frame it.

Fernando Rodríguez Salas (Barcelona, 1983.) was graduated at University of Fine Arts in Granada in 2005 after studying Graphic Design in Middlesbrough (UK). Fernando started working as a Graphic Web Designer in Madrid but later he was attacted by acting and he started to took part in plays, short films and commercials. At this point Fernando explain: " It doesn't matter any medium I use, wathever acrylic, watercolor, marker or graphite, the most important thing is the experience of the moment and the search of the impulse to react to a stimulus, These two princples I found them out when I worked as an actor in Madrid; and in this way, I can start with an idea in mind but I change it, driven by my instinct, in order to come upon new findings." His last exhibitions were at the Affordable Art Fair in Milan and at Van Gogh Art Gallery in Madrid, where he showed part of the Dark Paintings series.
