ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I look for the beauty that hides after a break, a crack or a change. My interest focuses on reflecting it through the organic, the most purely corporal of this transformation process after the gap that causes a new picture, and the tissue that heals. The organic lines that make up this inner state also emanate from holes, wounds, underlining the improvisational and at the same time cathartic aspect, where the essential thing is, precisely, the pictorial act itself and the changes that occur not only in the canvas, but in the author when doing it . There is no premeditation or prior study. From the initial moment, when I "wound", pierce, cut, pierce the canvas as a metaphor for what life does in us and the traces it leaves, until the end of the work. "Map of a Healthy Heart". 2014. Her work explores the interconnections between the various artistic manifestations, always seeking the approach of contemporary art to society. Her work has been awarded internationally and exhibited at the Venice Biennale, PhotoLondon, the Sony World Photography Awards, PremisFAD, Copenhaguen Photography Festival, SIFEST Savignano, FADU-UBA Argentina, PhotoEspaña, the London Royal Academy of Arts, the International Festival Eme3 and Picasso Museum (Barcelona), the International Arts Prize “Obra Abierta”, the IV Viphoto Fair, among others. In addition, her photographs are published internationally in the main specific architecture magazines such as A+U, Architectural Riview, Archdaily, Dezeen, DeArchitect, AMC, Domus, Detail, Elle Decor,etc…and she´s an contributor of The New York Times T Style Magazine.
