Samuel Bischoff was born in Strasbourg in 1984. He holds a degree in Fine Arts and a Master Degree in Film Studies, mainly works with acrylic, oil and occasionally watercolors. He is fascinated by the expressionism, the history of German painting and the relationship with nature. The weather, clouds and smoke are interrogated and explored. He draws his inspiration in film history and extends the movie experience on the canvas. Bischoff currently works on a series representing the emblematic peaks in the northeast of the United States. He lives and works in Montreal.
