The painting was created to have got many meanings, and one of them is quite philosophic. It's about those people, events, impressions, reflections that leave deep marks in our heart and mind, in our emotional experiences and that after all shape us as a person. What shaped me? You? Who and what has left its marks in our souls?.. Strict or kind father or mother?.. The very first day in kindergarten, full of anxiety (because mom is not around), which we still remember despite tens of years have passed? .. School life? Crazy worry of that awful mistake?.. Or maybe that classmate who we were unrequitedly in love with for years? Mad extravagances of student period?.. Crazy love in another city, when there was great joy of meeting only on weekends and always - long languorous waitings?.. All the unloved jobs that we had?.. Why did we waste so much time doing them?.. Searches for self? First time abroad? Tears, blood, excitement, happiness and delight, love, disappointment, joy, anger, depressions ever experienced?.. Or was it volunteering?... Or marriage?.. Or giving birth to kids?.. How many breaking, hardening, trampling, lifting up to heaven with love and joy events, cities, travels, break ups, people after all that changed / shaped us as we are? Their imprints, marks and signs are inside us forever. They are about life itself. And about us walking along it...

"Adore painting women, flowers, and seascapes! These are all my true inspiration". Valerie Kraplia is an artist from Ukraine whose works explore woman life, togetherness & solitude, personal transformation, motherhood & personal memories, and also nature as a comforting serene ambiance inspiring for contemplations. The artist also adores creating floral still lives. She primarily works in a semi-abstract manner, combining expressive abstract thick bold strokes which give extra vividness and expressiveness to paintings with finely elaborated features. The artist loves experimenting with mixing colors, playing with textures and tools. She admits that despite using many different tools (brushes, plastic cards, film wrap, forks, napkins, her own fingers, cotton buds, and many others) her best-loved pick and real fav is a palette knife. Valerie says, "it allows creating the textures I myself love touching with hands and eyes to give those rich paintings further to you".
