Vaughn Engman grew up in Massachusetts. He then attended college in Colorado and Oklahoma studying fine arts before spending a summer in Alaska working in fisheries and photographing the incredible Last Frontier. In 1991 He returned to Massachusetts where he married his beautiful wife Nicole. Working for the government allowed a transfer back to Alaska with their now 4 children. After 12 years working outside in the subzero weather it was time for a drastic change and they relocated their family of 6 to Tucson, AZ where they currently reside. In 2012 Vaughn and his family spent a few months living and working in the U.S. Virgin Islands before returning to Arizona. All this travelling has influenced Vaughn's artwork to a high degree. The clashing of cold mountains, desert, and hot tropics allowed him to see and feel the varied global colors, temperatures and cultures. Inuit, tribal, and tropical art styles all find their way somehow into Vaughn's work as an artist. "God made the heavens and the earth. I want to make great art." Vaughn
