I was born and raised in former USSR, Ukraine. I immigrated to the USA in 1992. My first art degrees from Myrgorod Ceramics College and Lviv National Academy of Arts are from Ukraine. Later, I did two masters degrees in interdisciplinary art and teaching art from Columbia College, Chicago. Now, I live and work in Chicago. At present, I am a high school art teacher and a visual artist. I've taught visual arts for over 23 years. Currently, I am focusing on painting art works that explore invisible aspects of spiritual world and our desire to see it. Also, I combine abstract with figurative style.
