View In My Room
This was a commissioned painting I did. It is painted in blue, because blue is the color of the virgin Mary. It is my interpretation of the Pieta. I imagine Mary, full of grief, and fear for the spiritual battles of the world to come. I drew much inspiration from Luke 23:18, where Jesus says, "Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me; weep for yourselves and for your children." As it was a commission, the original painting is not for sale, but I have made it available for prints.

I grew up living in Missoula, Montana and was taught to paint by my mother and PBS. I was a quiet kid, I never liked to talk so art became my outlet. My focus is in drawing and painting especially oil painting. I want my art to express the feelings I often feel I have no words for. Each canvas or page tells a story in silent color. I want my art to be a map of my growth as an artist, as woman, as a daughter, as a survivor and overall as a human. For commissions reach out to me at
