Artist information Moon Seung Yeon (b.1982) is a Korean Artist. She graduated from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Toulouse (France) and had 7 Solo Exhibitions and 30 planned Exhibitions. Beginning with her first Sold Out at KIAF in 2016, her works are being sold out in many Art Fairs including Korea, Hong Kong. Moon embodies the message of life that is moving forward with the value of her precious happiness and communications through her fairy tale characters and relationships. “Life isn't long enough to do all you could accomplish. And what a privilege even to be alive. In spite of all the pollutions and horrors, how beautiful this world is. Supposing you only saw the stars once every year. Think about what you would think. Artist Moon has been expanding the world of her work through the process of realizing such objects in her works. After graduation in France, she returned and settled down in a small-sized town, and now gives us the moments of happiness in her daily life by drawing the tea time between animals and a little girl. Each animal has its own characteristics, and it appears through the girl. The two important pillars that make up her works are ‘Time’ and ‘Space’. Sharing time means the process of sharing their stories, and through that process, it develops into an act of adding the depth of the relationship and seeking each other’s meaning. Moon does not focus too much on specific objects or backgrounds. Each person has its own individuality and different meanings, and its characteristics make up each story.
