Melisms Von Teese Print

I'm hugely interested in human faces, therefore I'm constantly trying to follow and to grasp the uniformity or anti-uniformity of forms and lines. In these patterns I find both – harmony and chaos, and follow this mesmerising journey in order to discover the genuine unity. This painting is a part of my personal exhibition “Face Control”, and as most of my works of art, it is structured in a very careful, almost graphic-like manner. It was inspired by Dita Von Teese. My figures all have strikingly deep features, especially eyes – always a little bit sad, a little bit nostalgic for something fascinating. The eyes are what makes the people depicted within the portraits truly alive, they simultaneously depict the essence of the character, as well as the emotional condition of me as an artist.
