ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This a painting of my youngest daughter when she was three. I wanted to capture the mischief that so many children embody. A freedom to be silly that often fades as we age. I painted this for the sole reason that it makes me smile. I love to remember her and her siblings in that space of time before they tried to fit in. When living in the moment with both its laughter and tears just happened without any thought or intention. I chose the medium because it is natural, unpredictable, and often messy. Just like childhood.
