Mod-Donna Print

Madonna, the artist, the person, inspired me to create this painting. I always like to throw a twist into my works. Instead of simply painting an image, I will add my own take on it. In this one, I wanted to paint from the original photo and add what I saw in my mind that I thought would give it that creative twist. The red moon in the background gives the image a vibrant power, while the hat and rose (which is a "shout out" to "La Isle Bonita") give it a feminine touch. I chose this particular style to convey my interpretation of this because I felt it needed a clean, graphic look.
