My Second Mountain: Opened and ran a Gallery in Galveston Texas in the Postoffice region for 5 years. Tyler Art participated in Artwalks, for 5 years. Galveston Fine Art Center: Annual award to Tyler Studio for contributing and enriching the Galveston Art Community. In late 2016, Tyler Studio moved to Centerville Texas so that I could concentrate on painting and teaching art. I am currently the President of the Centerville Arts Commission. My First Mountain: Although I always wanted to paint, started at age 8, I realized that I had to support my two children, so I spent 35 years in nursing. Although you might think that these two careers are unrelated, I have found that the human pathos encountered and absorbed while caring for patients has had a huge impact on my art. My art has a sensitivity that comes from all the pain and suffering people endure while they are fighting to get their health back or at least savor a modicum of joy and beauty.
