Momma's Moody Spoons Print

To say this painting is inspired by Mother is to admit the obvious. On some level, every painting ever created is about Mother, right? At least in some way. Stuff embedded that deep just shows up. These are not my mother's spoons, but she, of course had wooden spoons like these. This is her pitcher. She didn't use it to hold kitchen utensils, but it's happy and doing quite well now, having been reborn for this purpose. Adding "moody" to the title is just marketing camp – and chosen completely aware that the term holds less-than-happy baggage. "Happiness" is still a fully qualified mood and could have been accurately applied to mother regularly. I want this painting to feel happy. I hope it seems happy to you.
