About The Artwork
As I was listening to a lecture given by Dr. Gordon-Reed of Harvard University on Thomas Jefferson, she said something to the effect of, "If Jefferson was right, then America is right. If Jefferson was wrong, then America is wrong". This work is a response to the history of generations entrenched by racist identity politics grown into violent monoliths spread around the world, and the guerrilla humanity of individuals in spite of it.
