Chenyi is a self-taught Penang artist born in 1987. She demonstrates her love of drawing and painting through a variety of media, especially realistic portrait art, comics, illustrations, and even murals. She does not shy away from expressing her passion through specialization in watercolour, at the same time being versatile in ink pen, colour pencil, and acrylics. For the last 20 years, Chenyi has been sharpening her skills and inspiring her peers to appreciate the little things in life from the artistic perspective. She has beena long time member of the Penang Water Colour Society. She likes to paint life size animals and human portraits. She also conducts watercolor workshops regularly and commissions custom-made paintings for her clients. Her works caught the attention of enthusiasts and bought by collectors from all around the world. Her work was exhibited at the Penang State Art Gallery, China House, Urban Spice Café etc. “Art is life, life is art.”
